Born and raised in the gorgeous Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina, I enjoyed life in a rugged environment of purity. In 1978 during college an opportunity came my way to journey to Alaska -so, I jumped at the chance to see how far I could go … and still be free. Living in Alaska for 22 years provided experiences unparalleled by any other place on earth and enlightenments that remain steadfast.

During that time in the early 80s, I began a career in banking and mortgage lending, working my way up from teller to Mortgage Loan Officer III with the largest bank in Alaska; then moved over to Loan Originating for better career control and more freedom with the subsequent arrival of my 3 beautiful children. In 1996 diving headfirst into real estate proved the most lucrative decision of my career … quickly becoming a Broker Associate/ Multi-Million Dollar Top Producer with a major franchise brokerage. Life events formed a path back to North Carolina in 2000, where I joined another franchise brokerage, and eventually up to Virginia with yet another international brokerage before settling in comfortably here at Charlottesville Country Properties, Ltd. .

Both Charlottesville and the entire surrounding area have proven year after year as the place to be for those searching for "the good life" with almost none of the negative aspects associated with other cultural centers in the United States. After all my travels and experiences, I feel that Charlottesville holds a most special and the highest appeal for anyone looking for a taste of that gentile Southern life combined with convenient access to all the sophistication, culture and opportunity anyone could wish for in one place.

Managing the office of Charlottesville Country Properties is a position that I truly enjoy; and one that allows me the flexibility to serve choice clients on occasion.
