Spring Update
Record snows this past winter have given rise to a glorious Spring, early perhaps for the Dogwoods and Redbuds thanks to some unseasonable 80’+ days in early April. The buds are bursting and the spare landscape has turned lush and green once again. March led the way for an extraordinary rebound in activity for country properties. Web site hits, phone calls and first time visits from out of town buyers have picked up dramatically as have showings on all our listings by other Realtors in our market. Buyer confidence is much stronger due in large part to the recovery in retirement funds coupled with more realistic pricing from sellers bringing that dream of owning a country home back into the picture. First quarter sales have already outstripped all of 2009 and it won’t be long before we see an evening of the supply and demand ratio in the country property/ farm and estate market. It’s a beautiful time to see Charlottesville and enjoy all the wonderful activities that abound in Virginia’s piedmont.
Please don’t hesitate to give us a call and let us know how we can help. A visit to our lodging page will give you information about many of the excellent Bed and Breakfasts that will help assure your visit is a memorable one.
